Assistant Manager of EBS Cinema

Our company is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our station, including programming, advertising sales, and other duties related to keeping the station on the air. He/she will also be responsible to be involved with developing new content for the EBS Cinema TV station —this could include creating original programs, buying syndicated shows and productions from outside producers. The position is also involved directly with increasing revenue and problem solving at the TV station. The Assistant Manager of EBS Cinema may also need to evaluate productions and shows and specific executions related to the content of programming. He/she ensures that the station remains in compliance with national regulations, and also creates the internal protocols for station employees and analyzes literature to develop on-air content. The Assistant Manager of EBS Cinema typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Direct and manage all aspects of the Stations operations to achieve profitability goals by leading the whole team on-air output with a productive work environment.
Managing the development and quality of daily programming content for the EBS Cinema station
Initiating and leading the promotional, marketing, and social media strategy for the EBS Cinema station
Leading a team of staff members to ensure smooth operations of the station
Ensure that all day-to-day operations of the station are running smoothly and efficiently
Oversee a team of employees, assigning tasks and shifts, and ensuring that everyone is working together harmoniously and communicating market issues, including production and budgetary items.
Partnering with the sales team to develop and implement sales promotional ideas.
Entering production contracts and ensuring contracts are fulfilled.
Organizing a weekly events list, including crew schedules, making changes as necessary and participating with a team in choosing events each week.
Scheduling weekly events and the on-air talent to achieve the most program and news specific, knowledgeable, and professional broadcast associated with the EBS cinema station.
Maintaining knowledge of Traffic, Programming and Production industry standards and company processes.
Planning and setting market project goals and milestones and following and enforcing the Company’s policies and procedures, including the key media guidelines always.
Maintain excellent communication with upper management, keeping them updated on the status of the station
Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Film Production, Theatrical Art, Broadcasting, Journalism, Foreign language and Literature or a related field.
Extensive Experience (8-10+ years) in cinema broadcasting, media management, or a similar industry.
Proven track record in senior management roles in broadcasting, television, or cinema industries.
Experience with strategic planning, budget management, and long-term vision for a broadcasting channel.
Experience in content creation, distribution, and partnerships in a broadcasting environment.
Familiarity with advertising, sponsorships, and broadcast sales.
Skills:
Ability to lead and manage large teams, including editorial, technical, and sales staff.
Strong capability to develop and implement long-term strategies for the channel’s growth and content distribution.
Excellent verbal and written communications to represent the channel, negotiates with partners, and manage media relationships.
In-depth understanding of film and cinema programming, along with global and local content trends.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with broadcasting technology, content management systems (CMS), and OTT (Over The Top) platforms.
Ability to analyze financial data, optimizes budgets, and maximizes profitability.
