Job Description
Women Empowerment-Action (WE-Action) is an indigenous non-political, non- religious, non-profit making, humanitarian and development-oriented civil society organization working in Ethiopia to the empowerment of men and women for gender equality transformation and sustainable livelihoods and the community in general. Currently the organization is operating in four regions, Namely SNNPR Amhara National Regional States, Tigiray and Oromia National Regional State.

Currently, WE-Action is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested candidate for the position of Project Coordinator in areas of Raya Kobo Woreda, North Wollo Zone Amhara Region” under the project of GAC-Oxfam Canada project.
Position: Project Coordinator
Duty Station: based in Raya Kobo Woreda and regularly travels to different Project sites within the target area.
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Salary: As per the organization’s scale
Number of positions: 1(One)
Duration: Jan 23,2025 to Dec,2026.
The position holder will be responsible for all operational aspects of the humanitarian and development intervention and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s within his/her designated Woreda Assist/support community volunteers/community facilitators.
Plans, directs, facilitates, and monitors the daily activities of all project activities in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders and with direct participation of target communities
Ensures that project interventions are carried out on schedule and according to project plans.
Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annual plans and reports based on donor and WE-Action requirements.
Ensures that all relief activities are properly coordinated and implemented according to donor, government, and WE-Action guidelines and work plans.
Provides weekly and monthly updates to the Project Coordinator and coordination office.
Maintains accurate and adequate documents for all services provided, such as distribution of small ruminate, vegetable seed and other inputs including well organized Targeting and distribution lists with supportive documents.
Ensures that project inputs are properly used for the intended purpose
Perform all tasks that ordered by his/her immediate supervisor and WE-Action.
MA/MSc in project Management, Development Management and Gender studies, social science studies.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in GBV prevention and response programming.
Experience related cooperative,
NGO work experience preferable
Skills
Demonstrated effectiveness with planning, implementing, organizing and monitoring projects.
Providing coaching and technical support for community facilitators and RUSACOs.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel and power point
Technical ability and sound judgment to work effectively with others at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Amharic language
Motor cycle driving license is mandatory.
