Line Manager Position: Project Manager
Job Purpose Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance management of all production units, MMU, explosive manufacturing plant, and mobile equipment for production.
As the responsible of your Team safety, enforce your team all applicable Maxam and Allied Gold HSEQ policies.
Establish and maintain a safe and productive work area for the employees.
Taking an active role as a safety committee member.
Observance and enforce MAXAM objectives and policies.
Ensure that working area is kept in clean and safe condition.
Have a knowledge of all safety rules and regulations and always adhere to them.
Have knowledge of legal requirements and transport regulations regarding company vehicles.
Keep a record of all production units with all their permits and authorizations data.
Maintain operating manuals for MMU, front loader trucks, equipment, and plants.
Assisting the Project Manager in the planning and scheduling of the maintenance plan and preventive and corrective works.
Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Maintenance Department.
Develop all the activities required to certify that the equipment is in optimal maintenance conditions, so that they are operated safely in production, with the optimal use of working capital, human and material resources. Distribute daily task for the team.
Develop and implement maintenance plans (preventive, corrective, predictive) for all production facilities.
Develop / train maintenance team and assist with training needs a plan for them.
Assisting in the labors to achieve the targets to fulfill the Maintenance plan, according to the Procedures.
Familiarize with Corporate maintenance management system (M3).
Ensure the maintenance of the units according to the preventive and corrective maintenance plan.
Conduct weekly inspections on production facilities.
Ensure that the equipment is operated correctly, and that the inspection is satisfactory, keeping the maintenance plans up to date and recorded.
Ensure that, production facilities do not endanger life and properties.
Set a stock plan for spare parts / prepare inventory yearly budget. Keep the safety stock levels of spare parts updated, ensuring the availability of the critical articles for major assets.
Ensure the establishment of inventory control of spare parts for plant, loading and auxiliary equipment, their correct storage and replenishment.
Develop and keep Updated a Database for nearly all the assets that the maintenance department needs to work on. Maintenance Superintendent
Generate Purchase Requisitions for spare parts.
Maintain and update the equipment database.
Keep record of KPI´s such as: availability, utilization, standby, downtime, stock levels, etc…and report in weekly and monthly basis.
Report and investigate mechanical failures using lean tools.
Make sure that old, unused equipment is retired or relocated to other operations where could be consumed.
Manage relations with Maintenance Subcontractors if needed.
Propose new CAPEX investment to reduce the maintenance cost or improve the availability.
Carry out any special duties as may reasonably be requested by your superior
Authority:
Stop the work in case of any irregularities or unforeseen emergencies such as fire.
Discipline any employee who is not respecting the company rules and/or instructions.

Professional Experience
Minimum of five (10) years experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
Other skills (languages, IT, other technical knowledge):
Fluent in English and local languages, more languages will be valued.
General Knowledge in Mechanics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electrics
General knowledge of automotive
