Main Responsibility & Duties 

A "pile and shoring project manager" is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project that involves installing piles and shoring systems to stabilize excavations, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety standards, while coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to manage the technical complexities of the piling and shoring operations. 

Project Planning and Design:

• Analyzing site conditions and soil reports to determine the most suitable piling and shoring methods. 

• Developing detailed project plans, including construction schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimates. 

• Coordinating with engineers to design pile and shoring systems, considering load calculations, geometry, and stability factors. 

• Selecting appropriate piling equipment and machinery based on project requirements. 

Construction Management:

• Managing the on-site piling and shoring crew, ensuring proper installation techniques and safety procedures are followed. 

• Monitoring progress against the project schedule, identifying any potential delays and taking corrective action. 

• Inspecting piling and shoring installations to verify compliance with design specifications. 

• Coordinating with other trades on site to ensure smooth integration of piling and shoring works with overall construction activities. 

Quality Control and Risk Management:

• Implementing quality control measures to ensure the integrity of the piling and shoring systems. 

• Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with deep excavations, including ground instability and safety hazards. 

• Managing non-conformance reports and implementing corrective actions. 

Stakeholder Communication:

• Maintaining open communication with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep them updated on project progress and address any concerns. 

• Preparing and presenting project status reports to key decision-makers.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification: - 

• MSC/BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, COTM and Related Field of study.

Work Experiences: 

• - 5/7 years and above, from these at least 2 years in Pile and Shoring project Manager Positions.

Technical Competency  

• Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles

• Experience leading and motivating a diverse construction team

• Relevant training in deep excavations and shoring techniques 

• Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor construction projects
