Dembel City Center, also known as Dembel Mall which is a sister company of Yencomad construction PLC, is a shopping center in Addis Ababa. Located in the center of the city less than 3 mi (4.8 km) from Bole International Airport, it was one of the first Western-style shopping malls in Ethiopia. Built in 2002, the twelve-floor structure and an Extension of Seven- floor building currently has different offices, shops, restaurants, studios and other.

Dembel City Center is part of a modern development of the city center along Bole Road, also known as Airport Road or Africa Avenue.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Implements company’s Security Guard policy, regulations and directives

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures; supervising the security guard force

B. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of Security Guards

• Maintaining secured and conducive working environment

• Managing clerical work of the division 

• Allocating Security Guards  to key areas of work and that priorities are always covered adequately

• Controlling budgets for security operations and monitor expenses

• Recruiting, training and supervising security officers and guards

• Demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills

• Strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety

• Exhibiting leadership skills

• Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs

• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events

• Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms

• Review reports on incidents and breaches

• Investigate and resolve issues

• Create reports for management on security status

• Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)

• Provide physical exercise to security staffs  

Job Requirements

• First Degree and above  in any field is with minimum of 6 years experience on the same filed, from which at least 3 years in a high level. And Military Certificate is required.
