Job Description
Job Title: Environmental Finance Regional Programme Associate
• Education: Secondary education is required, Bachelor's degree in Economics, Political Sciences, Environmental or Social Sciences, or other closely related fields will be given due consideration, but it is not a requirement.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years (with Secondary Education), or 4 years (with Bachelor´s degree), of experience in programme/project management, financial resources management, budget management, and/or administrative support functions;
• Experience with tools and methodologies to follow-up on projects or project cycle management is required;
• Mastery in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, as a minimum, database management as a plus) and demonstrated experience in web research is required;
• Experience in project oversight and/or management highly desirable;
• Experience at the national or international level with organizations that manage grants or vertical funds is an advantage;
• Good knowledge of an ERP System (such as Quantum) and UNDP programming and budget structure is highly desirable;
• Experience in procurement will be considered an advantage;
• Prior experience and knowledge of vertical funds is an advantage;
• Writing and editing skills, as well as experience preparing graphic presentations is an advantage.
• Language:
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic is required.
• Knowledge of Spanish, French, and/or Portuguese would be an added advantage.
