Job Summary

We are looking for a Deputy Plant Manager to support the overall operations of a large-scale edible oil production facility. The role requires 4-6 years of experience in plant operations, production management, or a related field. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring production efficiency, quality control, safety compliance, and cost management while leading and supporting plant personnel. 

Key Responsibilities 

Production Management: 

  • Assist in planning and scheduling production activities to meet targets and customer demand. 

  • Monitor production processes to identify inefficiencies and improve output. 

  • Support the implementation of new technologies and process improvements. 

Quality Control: 

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Work with the quality control team to address any production issues. 

  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of quality control procedures. 

Safety & Compliance: 

  • Ensure the factory operates in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to maintain a safe work environment. 

  • Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols. 

Team Management:

  • Supervise and support factory personnel, ensuring they receive training and guidance. 

  • Handle performance management, motivation, and conflict resolution. 

  • Foster a productive and collaborative work culture. 

Maintenance & Engineering: 

  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure the equipment is properly maintained and operational. 

  • Identify and address technical and engineering issues affecting production. 

  • Oversee the integration of new machinery and technologies. Cost & Efficiency Management: 

  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving measures. 

  • Monitor and analyze production costs and budget performance. 

  • Work with the finance team to develop and optimize budgets.

Job Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in plant management, production, or operations, preferably in the food processing or manufacturing sector. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, food science, or a related field (preferred). 

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance. 

  • Proven experience in team leadership and workforce supervision. 

  • Proficiency in production planning and process optimization. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and make quick decisions
