On behalf of our client, Raval Steel Manufacturing PLC, we are looking for successful candidate to fill the position of Deputy HR Manager, Bahir-dar

About the Company

RAVAL Steel Manufacturing PLC is located in Bahir Dar Industry Zone and is the biggest steel factory in the Amhara Region.

Position: Deputy HR Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Job Location: Bahir-dar

Salary—40,000-50,000 gross, but there will be room for more based on negotiation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resource.

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives

• Oversee all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits administration

• Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies

• Provide guidance and support to HR staff members and other departments on HR-related matters.

• Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and address organizational needs.

• Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

• Manage HR metrics and analytics to track key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop good Employee Relations/Industrial Relations practices to support the HR function and the Manager and continue to develop open communication processes with labor union.

• Review in conjunction with the HR Manager the Standard Operating Procedures for the efficient and effective administration of the Human Resources Department.

• Monitor and manage good Communication protocols for dealing with Managers and Staff to ensure the information delivered is relevant, appropriate and timely, and ensure they are in line with Paramount procedures.

• Manage the HRIS to meet the needs of the Organization.

• Attend, as required, working groups and committees of the organization as required.

Transport

• Coordinate the movement of vehicles and other transportation assets;

• Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance and repair of all light vehicles and trucks

• Create and/or modify various systems to manage the movement of vehicles and personnel;

• Keep documents current such as registration, insurance, vehicle logs, daily inspection reports, etc.

• Ensure sufficient supply of fuel and oil.

• Produce monthly fuel and vehicle use reports, “work orders,” etc.

• Install and maintain the Vehicle Management System (VMS); ensure that data is input regularly and that required reports are produced.

Insurance

• Collecting and analyzing claim data, and processing claims information.

• Updating policies and administering insurance policies.

Preparing monthly reports

• Communicating with insurance Companies for reimbursement of payments

• Ensuring premiums are settled on time

• Processing information on incidents that may result in financial loss and follow up the payments related to insurance.

Job Requirements:

• BA/BSC / MSC / MA in business management, management, public management, and related field.

• 9 years and above for BA in related experience in HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, HR Manager.

• 7 years and above for MA/ MSC.

• 3 years in a supervisory position.

• Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.

• Experience in the steel manufacturing sector is highly advantageous.
