Delivery Driver will play a key role in distributing the company products (Day Old Chicks and Vaccine) promptly to our customers. Represent the company as a brand ambassador by embracing and demonstrating our values and culture at the highest level. This requires being professional and cost effective to increase the company’s profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Performance Indicators
1. On Time Delivery %- The delivery driver will pick up and drop off the company products (DOC and Vaccine) while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
2. Customer Satisfaction- To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience.
3. 1 st Week Mortality- The driver is expected to minimize day old chick mortality in transportation by following all day-old chicks’ delivery procedures
4. Dead on Arrival – Ensure customers have a positive experience by reducing DOC stress.
Execution and Communication
Loading, transporting, and delivering products to customers in a safe, timely manner
Drive safely and comply with the DOC and Vaccine handling and transportation procedures
Return signed documents and transport equipment like chick crates and ice boxes
Communicate with the agent before leaving the Hatchery and upon arrival
Communicate with ASMs and Hatchery logistics Supervisors for any challenges along the route
Notify the Mechanics and Logistics Warehouse and Vehicle Manager for any breakage on the vehicle.
Vehicle Management
Regularly inspect vehicle health and complete logs and reports after every trip completion
Follow up the regular oil, tires and spare parts to minimize the event of breakdown with the assistant of the mechanic.
Abide with all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Maintain operational excellence in vehicles and delivery assembly area (cleanliness, speed and accuracy) always.
Customer Satisfaction
Ensure customer satisfaction by upholding our brand when attending to customer
Ensure Vaccine is delivered to the customers place with the proper cold chain
Make sure all customers count, receive, and sign when receiving products
Valid Third Level (Dry-1) driving license
Diploma in auto mechanics (preferably)
Good in spoken, reading and writing in English
Excellent in reading, spoken and writing in Amharic
Related industry or manufacturing work experience (Preferably FMCG)
Experience
Two years and above driving experience.
Requirements
Must be able to work under pressure, arrive on time, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Has good personality and good communication with the customers
Must be able to Provide Guarantor.
