Job Description
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented and experiences Social Media Manager & Copywriter to join our team onsite in Addis Ababa. If you have a flair for words, a deep understanding of digital content, and the ability to manage multiple platforms, we’d love to hear from you!
Role Overview:
As our Social Media Manager & Copywriter, you will be at the heart of our communications for a high-impact event. You’ll be responsible for content planning, publishing, and performance tracking across digital channels, ensuring our voice is clear, consistent, and compelling.
Location: Addis Ababa: Onsite Work Required
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday
Contract Duration: 2 months (with potential for extension)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Scheduling & Posting:
Develop and implement a daily content calendar across multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
Social Media Management & Engagement:
Monitor audience interactions, respond to comments/messages professionally, and foster online community engagement.
Analytics & Performance Reporting:
Track and report key metrics using tools like Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, and LinkedIn Analytics to inform strategy.
Copywriting for Digital Platforms:
Write engaging captions, posts, and campaign content tailored for each platform and audience.
Email Marketing Support:
Create compelling copy and visuals for email campaigns (you won’t be responsible for sending—just crafting).
Blog Post Management:
Write and post blog articles for our event website, capturing key themes and event highlights.
Job Requirements:
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience: 2 - 3 years of Proven experience in social media management and content creation
Strong writing skills with attention to tone, voice, and clarity
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g. Buffer, Meta Suite)
Excellent understanding of analytics and reporting
Experience in blog writing and content strategy
Excellent time management and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-focused environment
