Job Description
The Sales Analyst at East African National Distribution S.C. (EAND) plays a critical role in analyzing sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to enhance business decisions. The position is responsible for tracking, evaluating, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize sales processes and maximize revenue. The Sales Analyst will work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure data-driven decision-making in the cement distribution industry.
1. Sales Performance Analysis:
Collect, process, and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Generate detailed reports on sales performance, customer preferences, and revenue growth.
Provide real-time insights to sales and marketing teams for data-driven decision-making.
2. Market & Competitive Intelligence:
Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor strategies, and market demand.
Identify opportunities for expansion in new markets and product categories.
Recommend pricing strategies based on competitive benchmarking and demand forecasts.
3. Sales Process Optimization:
Analyze inefficiencies in the sales process and propose automation or workflow improvements.
Work with the sales team to enhance lead generation, conversion rates, and customer retention.
Implement CRM tools and dashboards to streamline data tracking and reporting.
4. Customer Segmentation & Insights:
Analyze customer buying behaviors and segment the market based on purchasing trends.
Develop customer profiling models to personalize sales and marketing efforts.
Identify high-value customer groups and recommend tailored sales approaches.
5. Sales Incentive Analysis:
Evaluate the effectiveness of current sales incentive programs.
Propose new incentive structures to drive better performance and engagement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of incentive programs.
6. Regional Sales Performance Evaluation:
Analyze sales performance across different geographic regions.
Recommend strategies for optimizing regional distribution and product placement.
Identify regions with high growth potential and suggest targeted sales initiatives.
7. Digital & E-commerce Sales Analytics:
Track online sales trends and monitor digital performance metrics.
Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize digital campaigns and online product positioning.
Analyze e-commerce data to enhance online sales strategies.
8. Forecasting and Demand Planning:
Predict future sales trends based on historical data and market indicators.
Assist supply chain teams in demand planning to ensure adequate stock availability.
Develop models for revenue and growth projections.
9. Reporting and Presentation:
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports for management review.
Present insights and recommendations to executives and cross-functional teams.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or Finance is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales analysis, market research, or business intelligence.
Experience in the cement and construction materials industry is highly preferred.
Strong background in sales forecasting, data analytics, and performance reporting.
Hands-on experience with sales tracking tools, CRM systems, business intelligence software and ERP.
