Job Summary: 

Under the supervision of the OPS Division Manager, the Assistant Operation Manager is responsible for assisting in the formulation of strategic planning and implementation of activities that lead to developing higher-value market opportunities for mainly Coffee but also Oil Seed, Pulses, and Spices trading. The assistant operations manager contributes to the growth, development, and achievement of the company’s vision by implementing the mission and core values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Support marketing, sales, procurement, and risk mitigation efforts for OPS trading.

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships to enhance profitability.

  • Ensure timely shipments and deliveries in collaboration with logistics teams.

  • Monitor product quality, pricing, and market trends for decision-making.

  • Conduct SWOT analysis, sales forecasting, and strategic planning.

  • Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and ROI analysis.

  • Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.

  • Evaluate staff performance and maintain proper documentation.

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to management.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • BA/BSC/MBA/MSC degree in economics, agricultural economics, or related disciplines.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in coffee, oilseed, pulses, and spices export marketing, with at least 5/3 years in a senior supervisory capacity.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Business development skills and the ability to translate strategies into action.

  • Knowledge of national and international coffee, oilseed, pulses, and spices export procedures.

  • Understanding of global OPS business and documentation processes.

  • Familiarity with national and foreign export and customs policies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high integrity.
