To ensure optimal functioning of the Bank’s critical business applications and customization as well as new application development and management
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver business technology solutions and ensure they meet business needs and requirements of the bank.
Ensure timely delivery of systems developed following defined system development processes.
Maintain expertise in business development tools.
Plan all design, development and testing work to ensure delivery in needed time frames.
Collaborate with and build excellent partnerships with the business functional units of the Bank to understand business strategy and needs, and with technologies and other business technical teams to build a supporting development strategy and roadmap.
Define SMART delivery goals in alignment with programmers, system analysts and other concerned staff.
Ensure regulatory and audit compliance throughout the development life cycle and customization process.
Manage the overall critical business applications of the Bank on a proactive and timely basis.
Ensure availability and daily operation of the Bank’s critical business applications.
Plan, direct, and manage critical business applications within in the Bank.
Ensure Applications performances and timely resolution of issues.
Ensure the Bank’s solution/Applications are designed to address the Bank’s future growth in terms of scalability.
Ensure incidents, events and problems are handled properly.
Manage and train staffs and oversees the work of consultants and vendors.
Recommend and implements policies, procedures, and standards related to the Bank’s application Development and Customization function.
Job Requirements
Qualification
MSC, MA, BSC, BA in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information system, Information technology, MIS or other related field of study
Experience
Minimum 11 years of experience, preferably in the banking industry, with at least 4 years in a managerial role overseeing IT application development, customization, or an equivalent position within core banking systems and related functions
