Job Description
Intrinsic Consultancy is seeking a results-driven Market Research & Business Development Analyst to lead and support research and advisory efforts both for internal growth planning and external client projects. The analyst will conduct sector-specific market studies, opportunity assessments, and support the design of business development strategies. This is a dynamic role suitable for a professional with strong research acumen and a passion for driving data-informed decision-making.

Reports To: Program Director
Conduct market entry research and sectoral analyses for both internal use and client-facing advisory projects.
Develop innovative project ideas to explore new business opportunities and drive growth.
Identify and evaluate business and investment opportunities across sectors and regions.
Perform competitor benchmarking, trend mapping, customer segmentation, and stakeholder mapping.
Contribute to the development of research reports, client presentations, strategic briefs, and proposals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project development with organizational goals and objectives.
Support the preparation of market advisory products and deliverables for clients across sectors.
Collaborate with project managers and consultants to integrate research findings into strategy and implementation.
Maintain a database of market intelligence, policy updates, and business development leads.
Provide support in developing internal growth strategies, partnerships, and service innovation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in market research, business development, consulting, or strategy.
Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
Strong understanding of Private Sector Development
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of research tools is a plus.
Experience in multi-sector research, preferably within emerging markets, is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
