Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.

• Plan and schedule production runs for various dairy products, considering factors such as product shelf life, production capacity, and equipment availability.

• Adjust production schedules in response to changes in demand, raw material availability, or equipment breakdowns.

• Monitor production progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delays and implement corrective actions.

• Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods to ensure adequate supply and minimize stockouts.

• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging materials.

• Optimize inventory levels to minimize storage costs and waste.

• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to develop accurate demand forecasts.

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand future sales plans and promotions.

• Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to improve forecast accuracy.

· Inventory Management:

· Demand Forecasting: 

• Capacity Planning: 

• Assess production capacity and identify potential constraints.

• Develop capacity plans to ensure that production resources are utilized effectively.

• Recommend improvements to production processes and equipment to increase capacity and efficiency.

· Reporting and Analysis: 

• Generate regular reports on production performance, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy.

• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement

• Prepare and present production plans and reports to management.

Job Requirements

•  Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in the FMCG.

• Strong understanding of production planning and inventory management principles.

• Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.   

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.   

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.   

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures.

• Experience in demand forecasting.
