Job Description
To lead and coordinate the customs clearance activities by reviewing and evaluating the operation plan assigned for every activity.
Generic Duties:
Sets deadlines in ways that comply with department’s plans and communicate them to subordinates;
Organizes workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks;
Monitors employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching;
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages pre-shipment inspection process and maintains all relationships with related as banks and other concerned bodies.
Introduces and maintains the necessary policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management and control of regional clearance operations, so as to continuously improve standards.
Oversees the entire job requirements for Import and Export Shipments.
Liaises with officials in various agencies to ensure goods are cleared through customs or quarantine.
Manages customs documentation for clearing and forwarding.
Advices service clients on most effective and efficient mode of cargo movement, most appropriate routes, legislative requirements and educates on emerging trends in the industry.
Oversees customs clearance operations including all transit safety programs; ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Reviews complaints regarding transit operations; resolves problems in a timely, effective, and efficient manner; investigates transit accidents and incidents; prepares reports and maintain necessary records.
Collaborates with transport operation team for the freight forward tasks.
Ensures efficient clearance operations through the identification and prioritization of improvement areas and the optimization of processes and systems.
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Skills
BA or MA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Management, or related fields.
Certification in Customs Clearance Competency is mandatory.
Experience
8 years for BA
6 years for MA
working as an Assessor in the logistics or customs sector is Mandatory.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent and solid Knowledge of customs clearance Import/Export laws and regulations.
Knowledge of International Export/Import Trade Documentation requirements Inco Terms, L/C Documentation
Supervisory and leadership skills.
Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
