The Junior Service Engineer is responsible to carry out disassemble and assemble, remove and install machine components correctly, in the allotted time frame following procedures laid down in the appropriate service manuals. Prepares and submit activity reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment with minimal supervision, following safety protocols and company guidelines.

• Diagnose machinery issues, read and understand schematics, and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime.

• Handle machine disassembly and reassembly, using the appropriate tools, procedures, and service manuals.

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, ensuring all tasks are completed in a contamination-free, safe, and efficient manner.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and time tracking for jobs completed.

• Ensure proper labelling, storage, and inspection of all parts, and manage the return of unused or warranty parts.

• Provide professional customer service, presenting a clean and organized image both on-site and in the workshop.

• Adhere to safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and be willing to assist with training and mentoring other team members

Competences and Skills

• 100% responsible in diagnosing problems on caterpillar machinery/equipment/engines

• 100% responsible in solving the problem right at the first time.

• 100% responsible in avoiding redo’s

Education and Work Experience:

• Minimum of technical school Diploma from a recognized institute.

• At least 4 years’ experience in Engine, Hydraulic systems, Power Trains, Steering and Brake Systems for the product lines dealt within the Company, after successful apprenticeship.
