Job Description

The Logistics and Import Officer is responsible for processing bank permits and managing the opening and settlement of payments (TT, LC, CAD). Key duties include handling single window entries, reviewing and verifying Letters of Credit (LCs), and applying knowledge of logistics administration, warehouse administration, and similar roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tracking parts & prime products movement and lead time from ordering to receiving

  • Export & Inter territory transfer logistics management

  • Data entry – Manpro & Ecoda costing tools.

  • Reporting - storage and demurrage, Logistics expenses, Lead time as per defined time frames

  • Liaising with internal & external customers; attending cross-functional team meetings, COE, service dept., to enhance service delivery within the Logistics department by providing timely updates & follow up.

  • Managing service providers – courier providers, transporters, customs agents, port, shipping line, inspection agencies.

  • Planning and tracking of LC/TT bank processes, logistics, transportation

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate report/Territory Manager

  • Maintaining and updating the record of shipments.

  • Preparing and presenting logistics reports to dept. supervisor and management.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and logistics, or a related field

Experience

  • At least 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in a related field.
