Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing, operational, and overhead costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Monitor and report on variances between actual costs and standard costs.
Prepare and maintain cost accounting system records, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Conduct product profitability analysis and support pricing decisions.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate budgets.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
Track budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
Support management with ad-hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare management reports on cost performance, budget utilization, and financial trends.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
Assist in internal and external audits related to cost and budget controls.
Process Improvement:
Identify inefficiencies in cost structures and recommend improvements.
Implement best practices in cost accounting and budgeting processes.
Support ERP/system enhancements related to cost and budget modules
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
5+ years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis (manufacturing or project-based industries a plus).
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, cost allocation methods, and budgeting principles.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAG, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP,
