Job Description

The Events Manager will be instrumental in the planning, execution, continuous measurement, and improvement of Habesha Events/Activation Strategy. She/he will be instrumental in the development and guardianship of the Standards of Excellence in BTL Execution. Be the core support in the development of brand-building activities within the BTL sphere of Habesha’s Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support &Execute Habesha Events, Activation Programs

  • Develop Events and Executions Guideline

  • Develop an annual Events and Activations plan and execute with the Sales team as per the plan.

  • Jointly work with the Sales Department to plan& execute New Territory Launch Events, Product Support Relationship Initiatives, Beer Invitation Programs, and customized creative activities/solutions.

  • Be the focal point of the brand’s events and activities, planning, and execution

  • Ensure Events and Activities are reported and documented.

Lead and support Habesha’s Community (CSR) Initiatives

  • Develop CSR Policy and Guideline

  • Prepare a CSR execution plan and ensure CSR executed as per the plan

  • Ensure CSR initiatives are reported and documented.

Excellent Executions, Monitoring & Improvement of Habesha’s Events, Activation

  • Responsible for developing and constantly updating ways of working, and standards of execution for Event and Activation

  • Start by understanding the opportunities in the trade & with consumers (the insights) to develop unique initiatives

  • Manage the process of collecting feedback from consumers and customers to improve execution.

  • Be the guardian of our Activities’ Standards of Excellence

  • Carry on regular sales briefing sessions and standards of excellence training

  • Devise a continuous follow-up mechanism to ensure all activities are executed as per standards.

  • Develop and manage all Activation/Event execution assets/tools.

  • Lead the Hostess's way of working and manage training sessions from time to time.

  • Measure and evaluate continuously the impact of our activities

  • Strengthen Habesha’s Understanding of the Event Landscape: event opportunities, potential reliable partners, venues, and knowledge of the trends within the beer industry on events and activations.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • BA Degree in Marketing or a related field 

  • 4 years of experience as an Event organizer or related posts, FMCG experience is preferable 

  • Excellent English and Amharic verbal and written skills

  • Team player and easy to work with personality.

  • Strong time management skills

  • Experience in managing a budget

  • Have the intelligence to anticipate challenges and the resourcefulness to find solutions to communications challenges.

  • Flexibility to travel to different parts of Ethiopia when required
