Job Description

SAMATAR ELMI TRADING - Samatar Machinery is a trading company that imports earth moving and construction machinery. The company is newly established and is expected to grow in the near future. The company will operate in a limited capacity for some time and is expected to have less than 10 employees. 

As accountant, you shall perform the following functions:

Implement accounting systems and procedures in line with accounting policies. Maintain the accounting system to collect and record all transactions. Examine the payment and other vouchers of the Company. Ensure that entries into the final accounts are accurate. Assist final accounts are prepared for auditing. Ensure accurate and timely reporting. Prepare the monthly Company VAT returns and close the books of accounts. Maintain all time financial and administrative functions, including payroll, ledgers, bank, debtors invoicing VAT, WHT and Capital procedures and reporting. Ensures that all intercompany accounts are reconciled and adjusted as necessary. Ensure that the customer deposits are booked timely and accurately. Undertake other responsibilities. Must ensure best cooperation with the sales and stock team.  

As admin, you shall perform the following functions:

Perform the functions of the admin and human resource work responsibly, diligently and in good faith. Strive to support the sales and stock teams. Propose and outline the admin and general services including logistics. Handle HR functions with the respective employees and the Manager. Keep track records of employee’s files and ensure the maximum record keeping procedure including keeping the personnel secrets and file contents. Ensure timely record keeping of employee attendances, update employee leave records and disciplinary measures. Work on the overtime of employees as authorized by their supervisors.  Assist the import personnel and the transit firm in processing the importation of goods.  

Job Requirements

Skills: Skilled accountant. Competent in English language. Good communication skills. Multitasker, multicultural, dynamism, problem solver.
