Job Description

AddisFly is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Booking Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle flight reservations, ticket bookings, and provide exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for assisting clients with travel arrangements, managing booking systems, and ensuring a seamless travel experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email with flightbookings, ticket reservations, and travel inquiries.Booking Systems: Use booking systems, including the Emirates portal and Galileo Travelport GDS, to manage flight reservations and ticket issuance.

  • Social Media Engagement: Address customer inquiries and concerns from social media platforms, ensuring timely and professional responses.

  • Visa Services: Provide guidance and assistance to clients regarding visa applications and requirements.

  • Travel Packages: Offer and sell travel packages, including accommodations, tours, and other travel-related services.

  • Customer Support: Address customer concerns and complaints, providing effective solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of bookings, transactions, and customer interactions.

  • Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets for flight bookings and travel packages.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing and operations, to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

  • Training: Stay updated on the latest travel industry trends, booking software updates, and company policies

Job Requirements

Educational Background: 

  • Diploma or degree in Tourism, Travel Management, or a related field.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a travel agency, specifically within an IATA-accredited.

  • Communication Skills: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling bookings and customer information.

Problem-Solving Skills: 

  • Ability to troubleshoot booking issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet sales targets and promote travel packages.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using various travel software.
     

Personal Characteristics:

  • Creative: Thinks on their feet to address customer needs effectively.

  • Proactive: Takes initiative in identifying and solving problems.

  • Confident: Handles challenges professionally with a solution-oriented mindset. Working Conditions:

  • Office Environment: Primarily office-based with potential for remote customer interactions

  • Working Hours: Full-time position with standard working hours. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
