Bridge International School System would like to bring in a family member on the role of School Principal. 

Position summary: The principal overseas daily operations and management of Bridge international School systems as regards to education and logistics important for delivery of learning. This position requires skilled leader and passionate about early childhood education within family values. The incumbent shall have strong administrative abilities, and excels in building a positive environment for children, staff, and families. The Principal is responsible for ensuring compliance with state regulations, developing curriculum standards as per Cambridge curriculum, and producing a development and safe learning environment.

Curriculum Development

  • Oversee the development and implementation of Cambridge curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards.

  • Ensure teachers family members and our children have latest books of Cambridge curriculum

  • Ensure to have close contact and meeting with Cambridge team for guidance and support

  • Ensure teacher family members are trained/acquainted with Cambridge curriculum and new developments

  • Integrate diverse learning methods that cater to children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

  • Ensure that programs are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and meet developmental milestones.

Enrolment & Family Engagement

  • Manage the enrolment process, including marketing efforts, parent interviews, and orientation.

  • Build strong relationships with families, offering regular communication about children’s progress.

  • Address parent inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure to have a close look of our children behaviours and do necessary to make them feel they are in family folds comfortably

  • Ensure to visit children at their home if sick out for more than 3 days.

  • Provide various parenting trainings to parents and guardians

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and educational standards.

  • Implement and oversee health and safety procedures, including emergency drills and daily sanitation practices.

  • Maintain up-to-date records, including student files, incident reports, and regulatory documents.

  • Ensure all security CCTVs are functional and record are kept for at least a year.

  • Ensure teaching family members are healthy, clean and keep the class rooms clean.

Financial Management

  • Work with the CEO in annual budgeting, expenditure control and use of school resources in an efficient manner

Community Relations

  • Act as the primary representative of the school in the community.

  • Establish partnerships with local organizations and early childhood networks.

  • Host family events as deemed relevant and participate in community events to promote the school.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Details of KPI will be communicated through performance management tools.

Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Management and related field.

  • Preference will be given for certifications in early childhood education as applicable in Ethiopia.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience childhood education set up involving leadership role.

  •  Preference will be given for Knowledge of Addis Ababa’s and federal regulations for early childhood programs.

  • Experience in international curriculum, specially Cambridge is advantageous

  • Expats with valid residence and work permit are encouraged to apply

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents.

  • Proficient in budget management, basic accounting, and operational planning.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies calmly.

  • Knowledge of best practices in early childhood education, health, and safety.
