KAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU vehicle in Ethiopia. It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations. The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Senior Production Planning & Control Officer position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Share responsible for planning production, budgeting, scheduling, determining production requirements, monitoring production progresses, and ensuring optimum utilization of resources and cost savings.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the production function managers to develop production planning and monitor its effective implementations.

• Assist in develop production-planning, capacity planning, and scheduling based on customer requirements and market demands.

• Assist in determining labor, equipment and raw materials needed to meet production performance targets.

• Work jointly with the Production planning head to plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

• Propose systems or methods to improve efficiency and utilization of all available resources.

• Collaborate with production function managers to address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.

• Check optimum utilization of production capacity to reduce idle time or overuse of machines and equipment.

• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure optimum inventory levels at all time to avoid over or under stocking.

• Check optimum level of production time and turnover time be increased.

• Monitor production status, and identify delays to adjust schedules to meet deadlines.

• Monitor material supply flow, identify any shortages or quality problems and report it to all relevant functions for taking action.

• Assist in determining market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends and devise strategies to overcome those challenges.

• Collaborate with Supply chain, human resources, and maintenance to availability of labor, materials, and machinery required for a smooth production processes.

• Assist in evaluating current production processes and recommend improvements,

• Prepare performance reports for submission to the Production planning and control head.

Job Requirements

Required Number           :  1(One) 

Qualification                    :  B.Sc. Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or related field

Work Experience            :  8 years in a related role

Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in MRP, working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems

• Problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of Supply Chain and Distribution management

• Excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal)
