Job Description
Kifiya is an AI-powered ecosystem technology company specializing in intelligent data-driven decisioning, financial services, digital agriculture, and smart mobility infrastructure solutions. For over a decade, we have built robust technological infrastructures and implemented transformative initiatives that address market failures. We empower MSMEs, smallholder farmers, and low- to middle-income consumers by providing access to financial services and markets. Kifiya is scaling its technology infrastructure to create a more inclusive and sustainable future in Africa.
Over the past 14 years, Kifiya has grown from a startup into a leader in digital financial services and AI-driven technology, showcasing the power of data and innovation to drive meaningful change.
We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to lead the development and scale-up of our embedded finance solutions, with a core focus on Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and Inventory Credit products. This role will shape digital lending journeys that are tightly integrated into partner platforms such as merchant apps, distributor networks, and supply chain ecosystems. You will work closely with internal teams, fintech enablers, and partner banks to design, launch, and grow impactful credit products for MSMEs and end consumers.
Define the product vision, customer journeys, and roadmap for embedded finance products (BNPL & Inventory Credit).
Conduct user and ecosystem research to uncover pain points and product-market fit within supply chains and digital commerce platforms.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, collections, credit, operations) and external partners (banks, fintechs, distributors) to co-create and refine embedded lending flows.
Work with leadership to shape the next generation of embedded credit infrastructure tailored to informal and underserved markets.
Use data and insights to drive product performance across origination, repayment behavior, portfolio quality, and customer retention.
Design and support the rollout of credit programs embedded in POS systems, ecommerce platforms, and B2B ordering tools.
Collaborate with financial institutions to align product architecture with risk, compliance, and underwriting frameworks.
Scope, document, and prioritize product features that drive scale, reduce friction, and support embedded partner integration.
Support design of scalable servicing and collections models that work seamlessly in embedded contexts.
Lead cross-functional squads and external partners to deliver on product milestones and growth targets.
Provide hands-on guidance on UX, user flows, and digital engagement strategies to improve uptake and stickiness.
Education:
MBA or relevant graduate degree with a strong academic background
Years of Experience:
Minimum 5 years in product management, including at least 2–3 years in digital lending or embedded finance
Prior experience with BNPL, inventory financing, or working with platform-based lending models is preferred
Demonstrated success launching and scaling financial products, preferably in partnership-driven environments
Competencies & Skills:
Strong grasp of embedded finance models and partner-led product delivery
Experience working with or within digital platforms (e.g., ecommerce, POS, distribution platforms)
Interested candidates should submit their resume to Hiring@kifya.com and include " Product Manager – Embedded Finance (BNPL & Inventory Credit) " in the subject line.
We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion, welcoming all qualified applicants regardless of background. Our goal is to build a diverse team to promote innovation and success.
