Job Description
The Assistant Planning & Analysis Officer will support the planning and analysis team in developing financial plans, conducting performance analysis, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making in Digaf MFI. This role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting to assist in the effective management of financial resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and budgets.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on planning and analysis assignments
Forecasting: Assist in forecasting revenue, expenses, and other key financial metrics.
Market Research: Conduct research on market trends and economic factors impacting the microfinance industry.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather necessary data and insights for planning purposes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in financial reporting and analysis.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning and reporting.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or a similar role, preferably in the microfinance or banking sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis software; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Personal Attributes:
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Adaptability to changing work environments and priorities.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of microfinance principles and practices is an advantage.
Certification in financial analysis, any type, is a plus.
