Job Description
The Community Mobilization Officer is expected to engage in community empowerment, mobilization, establishment of groups or committee, participate community and create networking collaboration and partnership with stakeholders for effective implementation of the program.

Duration of Contract: December 31, 2025
Assist in organizing and managing patient queues to ensure orderly and efficient access to the Mobile Medical Unit.
Provide clear instructions to patients on waiting times and procedures, ensuring a smooth flow of patients through registration, consultation, and treatment.
Identify and prioritize vulnerable individuals such as pregnant women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
Raise awareness about the availability and schedule of the Mobile Medical Unit clinic in the IDP camp.
Mobilize community members to attend health services, including regular follow-up care and health promotion activities.
Act as a liaison between the MMU team and the community, gathering feedback and reporting community concerns or issues to the MMU staff.
Educate patients and community members about basic health practices, hygiene, disease prevention, and available healthcare services.
Facilitate group education sessions on health topics relevant to the IDP community.
Assist MMU staff with non-clinical tasks such as patient registration, distribution of medications, and monitoring patient flow.
Support medical staff during outreach activities, helping to set up and dismantle mobile clinic stations.
Assist in organizing community outreach events, such as health campaigns and vaccination drives.
Report any concerns, challenges, or urgent health needs identified in the community to the MMU team.
Participate in data collection, surveys, and assessments conducted by the MMU.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Diploma in Social Sciences
2 years of prior learning experience in community based, Government, NGO, INGO set ups.
LANGUAGE
Required: Amharic and English
