Job Description
MIDROC Construction Ethiopia PLC is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-oriented professionals to fill the following position . These roles are critical for strengthening operational efficiency, ensuring quality delivery, and achieving strategic goals.
Plan and allocate human, material, and equipment resources for optimal productivity.
Develop systems for resource tracking, utilization, and logistics coordination.
Support project teams in mobilizing and demobilizing project resources effectively.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety standards, and sustainability practices.
General Leadership Requirements
Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Ethics & Discipline, Integrity, Sense of ownership, Effective meeting facilitation skills, Time management
Availability when needed, Ability to dedicate full time to work
Foundational knowledge required for project implementation (in finance, procurement, operations — ability to understand and apply these areas)
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Understanding the work culture of profit-oriented construction companies and being able to respond accordingly (business mentality)
Ability to prepare accurate and transparent reports, deliver presentations, receive direction, and provide/respond to feedback
Understanding and applying government laws and regulations, as well as national, international, and technological contexts.
Education & Experience
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, or Business Administration, with 12/14 years of experience.
Competency Requirement
Resource Planning & Allocation: Planning and optimizing use of labor, materials, and equipment across multiple sites. Construction Cost Awareness: Understanding BOQs, cost codes, and budget implications. Workforce Management: Coordinating manpower supply, tracking productivity, managing subcontractor performance.
Equipment & Asset Control: Monitoring usage, downtime, and logistics of machinery and tools. Data-Driven Monitoring: Tracking departmental and site-level resource KPIs (utilization rates, waste rates, idle time). Procurement Support: Assisting in timely requisition and delivery of materials.
Collaboration & Communication: Coordinating with project managers, storekeepers, finance, and HR. Problem Solving & Adaptability: Addressing shortages, delays, or inefficiencies on-site.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to labor regulations, safety standards, and Resource Planning & Allocation: Planning and company policies.
Proficient in ERP systems, resource management
