Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Create detailed engineering designs, including structural, mechanical, and electrical layouts, based on project requirements.
Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) to develop 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
Comply designs with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Conduct structural, mechanical, and electrical analysis to assess the feasibility of designs.
Identify potential design challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them.
Perform value engineering exercises and optimize designs for cost-effectiveness.
Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international engineering standards and regulations.
Assist in performing quality checks on designs and ensure accuracy and adherence to project scope.
Participate in site inspections and supervise that construction work aligns with the approved designs.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, including addressing design-related queries.
Modify designs as necessary to accommodate site conditions or unforeseen challenges during construction.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, calculations, and construction drawings.
Review and approve construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Participate in design coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Master’s degree in, Architectural Engineering, or related fields of study with a minimum of four (4)years of demonstrated experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or related fields of study with a minimum of six (6) years of demonstrated experience.
