Position Summary:

The Cashier and Store Keeper will be responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing the foundation’s store inventory. This role plays a critical part in ensuring transparency and accountability in both financial and material resource management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cash Management

  • Handle cash transactions and issue receipts.

  • Maintain daily cash books and reconcile cash balances.

  • Deposit funds to the bank and process petty cash payments.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.

Storekeeping

  • Receive, record, and issue goods and materials based on approved documentation.

  • Maintain an accurate stock register and inventory records.

  • Conduct regular physical inventory checks and report discrepancies.

  • Ensure proper storage, security, and cleanliness of store items.

General

  • Ensure all transactions are supported with proper documentation.

  • Report regularly to the finance and logistics teams.

  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA degree in accounting or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cashiering and/or storekeeping.

  • Knowledge of inventory and cash handling procedures.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and trustworthiness.

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word; knowledge of inventory software is a plus).

  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
