Our 3 Batching Plant plays a critical role in supplying high-quality concrete to both our internal construction projects and external clients.
Position Summary:
The Ready-Mix Concrete Unit Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of the Dugda’s 3 Batching Plant. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Ready-Mix Concrete Unit Manager will oversee all functional departments within the plant, ensuring seamless operations, quality assurance, staff management, and profitability. This role demands strategic oversight as well as hands-on leadership to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all plant departments.
• Ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations of the batching plant to meet both internal construction demands and external customer needs.
• Develop and implement production schedules, quality control standards, and maintenance plans.
• Monitor plant performance metrics (production, cost, quality, and delivery) and report regularly to the General Manager.
• Manage departmental managers, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture.
• Coordinate with internal project teams and external clients to align production output with delivery requirements.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource utilization to maximize plant profitability.
• Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in production, resource management, and customer service.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in industrial, mega project management (construction) or plant operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or plant management role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale concrete batching plants or similar manufacturing facilities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of cross-functional coordination.
• Deep understanding of production planning, equipment maintenance, logistics, quality control, and cost management.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in operational software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
