Job Description

The Strategy Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting internal and external market and industry data to inform strategic decision-making across East African Holding (EAH) and its subsidiaries. The role supports the development, alignment, and continuous improvement of corporate and investment strategies, ensuring that all business activities are in line with the company’s overarching goals and grand strategy. The Strategy Analyst works closely with the EAH Board and leadership teams to identify opportunities, assess risks, define strategic priorities, and monitor implementation progress to drive sustainable growth and performance excellence across the Group.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Gather, analyze and interpret market data and identify industrial trends to create effective strategies that make companies excel in performances. 

  2. Continuously search for information on market dynamics to identify opportunities and modify strategies, as required. 

  3. Develop strategies for new investment ventures in alignment with overall goals and objectives. 

  4. Ensuring alignment of altered strategies with original goals. 

  5. Define strategic priorities for implementation, monitor progress and identify deviations. 

  6. Develop grand strategy where responsible units can use as a framework to develop functional units’ respective strategies. 

Work closely with EAH Board and ensure all business activities are aligned with the company’s overall goals, objectives and grand strategy

Job Requirements

Required Qualification:

The Ideal candidate shall have at least Master’s degree in economics, business management or other related field with relevant progressive experience for more than 8 years in high-level industry experience in strategy development, preparation of strategic initiatives, and strong leadership in private or public enterprise. Additional international certification is a plus.

Competence requirement:

  • Keen in having up-to-date information on business trends, industrial knowledge and overall macroeconomic situations that have impact on business performances. 

  • Strong understanding of business process requirements and industrial trends.

  • Excellent market research and data analytic skill. 

  • Track record of using market research and data analytics software and tools. 

  • Good understanding of organizations cross-functional relationships.

  • Proven experience in successfully designing and implementing strategies.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders.

  • Capability in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong multi-tasking, strategic thinking and leadership ability. 

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
