  • Contract term: Fixed term for 12 months

  • Number of positions 1

Background

The International Institute for Primary Health Care – Ethiopia (IPHC-E) is a globally recognized center of excellence and strategic thought partner in the advancement of Primary Health Care (PHC), with a special focus on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Established by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia in 2016, IPHC-E builds on the country’s rich legacy of community based health delivery and innovation to support governments and institutions across Africa and beyond in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through five strategic pillars—Technical Thought Partnership, Innovation and Program Incubation, Capacity Building and Learning Systems, Implementation Science, and Systems Design and Institutional Strengthening—IPHC-E works to transform PHC delivery and governance, especially in resource-limited settings.
In partnership with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, and Big Win Philanthropy, IPHC-E is implementing the Seqota Declaration Model Woreda Technical Assistance Project, which aims to reduce childhood stunting through integrated, community-led, and multisectoral interventions.
The initiative operates in Oromia, Central Ethiopia, and Sidama regions and supports local governments to plan, implement, and scale effective nutrition and food system solutions, including those under the Yelemat Tirufat initiative.
