Job Description
The Head of Administration and Finance will oversee all financial, administrative, and human resource functions within GS Construction Co. Ltd. The role is key to ensuring effective financial management, regulatory compliance, strategic planning, and smooth administrative operations to support the company’s construction projects and overall business growth.
Finance Management
Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, auditing requirements, and other statutory obligations.
Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Prepare periodic financial statements, reports, and analysis for management decision-making.
Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax offices, and financial institutions.
Administration
Supervise general office administration including procurement, logistics, and facility management.
Oversee the implementation of administrative policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage contracts, service agreements, and insurance coverage for company assets.
Ensure the company’s administrative operations comply with national labor and legal standards.
Human Resource Management
Lead the HR function including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Maintain updated personnel records and ensure confidentiality of employee data.
Support management in organizational planning and capacity development.
Foster a positive work environment through fair policies and staff development initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in finance and administration, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and labor laws is essential.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
