Job Description

An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer plays a vital role in managing and supporting an organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of systems and providing technical assistance to users. Key Responsibilities

System Administration: Deploy, configure, and maintain ICT systems and databases, including networks, servers, and telecommunications. This includes performing system backups and recovery, conducting server builds, and monitoring operating system software and servers.
User Support and Training: Provide technical support and assistance to users, troubleshoot issues, and offer training to ensure efficient use of ICT resources.
ICT Policy Development: Develop and implement ICT policies that promote efficient use of resources and ensure data security and integrity.
Project Management: Manage ICT projects from inception to completion, including defining objectives, designing plans, allocating resources, and overseeing project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is typically required.
Experience: Proven work experience in IT support or a similar role is often necessary, with a minimum of 3 years preferred.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) can be advantageous.
