Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Equipment Mechanic with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing automotive and mining machinery, pumps, and other essential equipment used in alluvial mining operations. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and servicing heavy-duty mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Inspect, diagnose, and repair mining machines, pumps, and automotive equipment used in alluvial mining operations.

•    Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements.

•    Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in mining equipment.

•    Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment failures and downtime.

•    Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.

•    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

•    Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize equipment performance.

•    Train junior mechanics and provide technical guidance when needed.

•    Operate diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment conditions.

•    Work in challenging environments, including remote mining sites.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintaining mining equipment, pumps, and automotive machinery.

• Certification or diploma in mechanical engineering, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical components.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Experience working in alluvial mining operations is highly preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental regulations.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mining 

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in heavy-duty mining equipment maintenance.

• Knowledge of pump systems and fluid mechanics.

• Welding and fabrication skills for equipment repairs.

• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
