Designation   : Head Sales and Marketing 

Reports to  : Chief Operations Officer

Qualification : BA/Master’s Degree in Business management, Marketing or Health Science

Experience: 10+ years

The Head Sales and Marketing is responsible for the sales / AOP   plans for the organization. sales specialist(s) and/or strategic marketing projects, the sales manager serves as a crucial part of the organization team. With a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, market analysis and return on investment, the sales manager serves as a valuable resource to administration and marketing leadership. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

As Head Sales and Marketing National Sales your responsibilities include the following

  • Responsible for Sales revenue generation across products and regions and ensure yields across products through Regional Sales Managers and Marketing Managers

  • Ensure quality of Sales managers across region on daily calls, Targets and promotion / DRT

  • Implementation of targets 

  • Responsible for interacting with Doctors on sales support and special pricing matters

  • Keep a tab on, gross margin and profitability

  • Responsible for Marketing and Sales and works through Marketing Managers and Regional Managers to achieve top line market share and achieve revenue and brand objectives

  • Prepare Business Plan / AOP on business design, structure, process and operating plan and financial model

  • Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research and brand strategy

  • Periodically review performance of Regional Managers and check on gaps in performance and seek reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps

  • Conduct effective and accurate market research and apply this information to increase market share

  • Conduct regular sales meeting with sales team to discuss target status, product training and sales strategy

  • Conduct customer or training CME seminars as per the requirement of regions

  • Ensuring all approvals related to consultants and other Government authorized bodies are made in a proper and timely manner.

  • Coordinate, prepare and launch new products for the assigned market(s) with operation of the respective sales department in the respective regions

  • Ensure the confidentiality of the Doctors list, mailing lists and other sensitive company information.

  • Motivate and monitor sales team and distributors on marketing and sales activities

  • Coordinate with administration, commercial and departments to ensure timely closer, and smooth function of action in the system.

  • Update management on business/ sales process and operating plan and financial model and profitability

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory

  • Builds and manages relationships with current customers, identifies new customers and develops relationships for the purpose of selling assigned 

  • Under minimal supervision, performs all sales functions in assigned territory, analyzes territory for sales potential; develops and implements effective sales strategies; 

  • maintains appropriate level of territory coverage; plans and executes effective sales calls

  • Schedules and performs product demonstrations; manages the sales order/quotation process; provides regular customer and market feedback to company

  • Represents organization   ethics, values and business practices with all internal and external constituents

  •  Effective interpersonal skills

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required: 

  • Master’s Degree in Business management, Marketing or Health Science, or 

  • Above 12   years or more experience in the marketing and/or sales field In Hospitals referral marketing / sales   and 360 Deg Doctor referral Team, Insurance and Corporate sales tie-up       

  • Fundamental knowledge of marketing/ sales and Healthcare market 

  • Ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy

  • Ability to multi-task and take direction in a matrix work environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • General knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft office, 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Ability to implement initiatives in a strategic manner with minimal supervision 

  • Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: adaptability, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, analytical, leadership, strategic thinking, and communication.
