Job Description

Under the supervision center manager/lead and technical direction from quality department, clinical head performs client examinations, diagnosis, identifies health problems and delivers prescriptions/procedures to client in accordance with accepted standard medical practices and professional code of conduct at MSIE Centers

Job Requirements

  • Examines in and out patients /clients in line with standard medical procedures using various types of diagnostic mechanisms.

  • Administers and prescribes drugs based on analysis of examination, test reports and findings and counselling services.

  • Provide SRH services (Safe abortion care, comprehensive family planning, ANC and PNC consultation, general health) to visiting clients per after required training and competency assessment. 

  • Assess and treat Newborn and Childhood illnesses, manages newborns or children with medical concerns, and performs related procedures.

  • Provide Health Babay checkup, recognizes and addresses signs of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse in children.

  • Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.

  • Performs permanent family planning methods and other procedures, after undertaking the required training program

  • Provide overall technical mentoring and coaching support and direction to services providers in center team to ensure best clinical quality of care  

  • Support center manager/quality team in periodic technical performance evaluation and competency assessment of service providers

  • Adherence to national medical practice protocols and MSIE clinical protocols while providing clinical service. 

  • Make an on-time report for the clinical incident happened in the center as per the guideline of MSIE. 

  • Adherence to duty of care statement and client centric care standard set by MSIE.

  • Adherence to clinical record keeping and documentation in electronic health record system

  • Puts the interest of clients/patients above all other considerations and ensures the confidentiality of all cases.

  • Undertakes any other related duties that may be assigned to him/her.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support in center service promotion and demand creation by doing field visit to nearby referral points, organizing community conversation sessions and distributing referral cards to referral points and motivating current client to refer other needy clients

  • Actively participate in center business development related task assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Qualification Requirements

    • Education

      MD-General Practitioner/BSc degree as Health Officer or BSc in nursing

      • Experiences

      • License 

      A minimum of 2 years of experience for BSc degree as Health Officer or BSc in nursing and 01 Year for MD-General Practitioner in the provision of Clinical Services, an experience on SRH services Provision is preferred. 

      Renewed Professional certification in a clinical specialty.

    • Awareness of concepts and strategies of quality care

    • Strong commitment to providing empathetic and patient-centered care.

    • Ability to assess situations quickly and make informed clinical decisions.

    • High level of accuracy in clinical documentation and adherence to treatment protocols.

    • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
