• DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Bank's infrastructure and ensuring high quality and scalable solutions. The role holder is also responsible for the maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development, deployment, and operations processes. In addition, the role holder utilizes automation tools to Implement robust monitoring solutions, respond to incidents promptly to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability and security best practices are followed and compliance requirements are met by implementing necessary policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field                  

• Professional ICT qualifications like JAVA, Web Logic, Web Sphere, SQL, PLSQL, UNIX, MCSE is an added advantage"

Experience

• Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).

• Experience with configuration management, monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

• Experience with automated deployment scripts (Ansible, Chef)

• Proven experience with cloud based platforms (AWS, Azure).

• Strong understanding of  API development and integration.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and platforms (e.g., GitLab CI).

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Strong understanding of software development principles including Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Project management skills.
