Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares Material lists of projects & ensures the proper deployment of them.
Prepares the actual Bill of Quantities of projects using take off sheet.
Records Bill of Quantities using computer program preferably Microsoft Excel.
Prepares material requirement from the actual bill of quantities.
Prepares material delivery schedule.
Ensures material request & delivery schedule submitted by projects are correct by comparing with head office material schedule.
Fills material request for purchase on requisition pad.
Prepares material approval schedule & implement it accordingly.
Checks the type & quality of materials required by referring to the contract documents such as specification, drawings, etc.
Identifies the potential material suppliers based on capacity & quality.
Checks the quality of finished works, and proposes recommendations for improvement when required.
Inspects materials during production/fabrication and loading, to ensure proper materials are being sent to projects sites.
Follows-up materials dispatch, i.e. keeping records of materials required approved, dispatched & remaining.
Prepares material delivery status weekly.
Prepares payment certificates for sub-contractor works.
Prepares payment certificates for sub-contract works based on actual quantity executed with prior certification of Project Managers.
Keep records of payment certificates related to the sub-contractor contract works.
Keeps proper documentation of correspondences, variation orders (both approved & not approved), work orders, site handing over protocols, provisional & final acceptance certificates, catalogues, test certificates, payment certificates, take-off sheets, material approvals, tender offers, etc.
Perform other related tasks assigned
Job Requirements
Advanced Diploma in Construction Technology and 4 years of proven experience.
