Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst / Statistician to join its FMCG division. The role is essential in transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform sales, marketing, supply chain, and strategic planning decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about uncovering trends and translating data into business value.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Management:

• Collect, organize, and clean large datasets from internal and external sources including sales, customer, market, and operational data.

• Maintain accurate databases to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Develop, maintain, and distribute regular dashboards and performance reports to stakeholders.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on deviations and trends.

Forecasting & Modeling:

• Support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and pricing analysis using statistical techniques.

• Build predictive models to assess business risks, customer behavior, and product performance.

Business Insight Generation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams—sales, marketing, supply chain—to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics

• Translate analytical findings into visual presentations and summaries for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement & Automation:

• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and analysis processes.

• Recommend data-driven improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in operations and customer engagement.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

• A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or statistical modeling role, preferably within an FMCG or fast-paced commercial environment.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and statistical/data tools such as SPSS, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
