Job Description
Médecins du Monde (MdM) or Doctors of the World is an international humanitarian organization that provides medical care and support to vulnerable populations around the world. MdM operates in over 40 countries including Ethiopia, delivering medical aid in crisis zones, conflict-affected areas, and areas of extreme poverty. Our teams of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, work tirelessly to provide essential medical services, emergency relief, and long-term healthcare programs.MDM–France invites qualified candidates to apply for the following position :
Case workers will provide case management services to survivors, including referrals to existing services at the woreda, will conduct follow up and update status of referral cases.
She will support updating service mapping on their coverage area and coordinate with other GBV actors in the woreda.
Prepare and compile weekly and monthly reports and share with relevant stakeholders and immediate supervisors.
Develop and implement individual case management planning for GBV survivors
Ensure regular follow-up of the implementation of the case plan for each clients.
Coordinate with other Protection actors to coordinate the implementation of international and national standards and consideration of protection issues.
Identify additional needs of the survivor and collaborate with other internal and external sectors to meet the needs of the survivor.
Provide confidential referral based on the best interest of the survivor to other service providers as part of case management; follow-up to ensure that all the cases adequately receiving needed support once referral has been made.
Support the development of GBV prevention awareness messages and assist community volunteers in raising awareness about GBV.

Educational Qualification
BSc degree in Midwifery, Social work, Sociology, Psychology, Public health and relevant field of social sciences.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of experience as a GBV case worker, GBV Officer, GBV case manager including prevention, response, case management, and program/project development and management in an emergency context, is required.
Experience with other NGO is a plus.
Skills and qualities required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills: MS Word and MS Excel
Know how to work in a multidisciplinary team
Formalize and communicate professional know-how
Extensive training in the field of GBV
Demonstrable experience in reporting, supervising and training others in a team setting.
Active leasing
Skill to apply international technical guidelines and standards in GBV
Knowledge of the local context is an asset
Languages
