We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Ethiopian accounting standards. 

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. 

• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management to support decision-making. 

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. 

• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. 

• Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings. 

• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the financial health of the company. 

• Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

• At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis. 

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. 

• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 

• CPA or ACCA certification is an advantage
