We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Officer to join our growing team. With a focus on Product and Talent Development, this role is crucial in ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality, user-friendly, and marketable products.

The ideal candidate will either have a strong technical background with a clear business mindset, or a business education and experience with a keen interest in technology and product development. The role requires the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa, ensuring seamless collaboration and product-market alignment.

In addition to your core product responsibilities, you will support broader business development initiatives—including partnership building, proposal preparation, and bid participation.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product development plans in alignment with company goals.

  •  Schedule and lead product-related meetings, keeping all stakeholders aligned.

  • Collaborate with software and security teams to test, iterate, and ensure product quality.

  • Maintain clear, up-to-date product documentation including requirements, feedback, and progress reports.

  • Act as the voice of the user in product development discussions—ensuring usability, functionality, and market relevance.

  • Monitor development progress, flag delays, and proactively resolve roadblocks.

  • Identify skill gaps within the technical team and across relevant departments.

  • Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programs, workshops, and certification initiatives to enhance technical and business development capabilities.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.

  • Assist in preparing and submitting bids and proposals in collaboration with the Business Development team.

  • Attend partnership meetings and follow up on action items with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct market and client research to support strategic planning and opportunity assessment.

Job Requirement

Required Skills and Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in tech product development, project management, or business development within a technology-focused environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business domains, with a strong interest in product usability, user experience, and market alignment.

  • Solid understanding of product development workflows and software project lifecycles.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience working in a tech-driven or cloud services company.

  • Comfortable navigating both technical and business environments.

  • A team player with the flexibility to switch between detailed execution and high-level strategy.
