The Technical and Plumbing Works Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems and general technical equipment. This role includes responding to plumbing issues, supporting facility maintenance tasks, and ensuring all water-related, sewerage and technical systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, valves, drainage systems, and water supply lines.

• Diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or broken components and carry out necessary repairs.

• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems and ensure proper water pressure and flow.

• Unblock drains, toilets, and sinks using manual or powered tools.

• Install and repair water heaters, pumps, and sanitary equipment.

• Support general maintenance tasks involving HVAC systems, electrical fixtures (non-licensed), carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs.

• Assist in preventive maintenance and facility upkeep such as replacing filters, fixing doors or windows, and maintaining fixtures.

• Use basic tools and equipment safely and effectively to perform routine technical tasks.

• Perform regular preventive checks on plumbing and technical systems to reduce breakdowns.

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve urgent plumbing or technical issues.

• Follow safety procedures and ensure all work complies with plumbing codes and technical maintenance standards.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools when performing maintenance duties.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, parts used, and inspections conducted.

• Report any major issues or recurring problems to the maintenance supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or certificate in plumbing or mechanical maintenance.

• Minimum 2–3 years in plumbing and general maintenance work.
