Job Description
The purpose of the job is to ensure uninterrupted operation of the forehearth and feeder system during glass production. This role plays a vital part in managing the flow of molten glass, maintaining its temperature, viscosity, and feeding rate, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise to support high-quality glass production.
Job Requirements
Required Knowledge and skills (Competence)
Education
BSc degree or TVET diploma (Level 5) in in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Specialized training in glass forming machinery, forehearth temperature control, and feeder system operations.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in a glass manufacturing environment, specifically feeder operations and forehearth systems.
Skills
In-depth understanding of glass melting and forming processes.
Experience with automatic and manual feeder systems used in glass production.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical faults in forehearth equipment.
Ability to analyze viscosity variations and take corrective actions.
Strong analytical skills for diagnosing production flow disruptions.
Quick decision-making ability when addressing molten glass inconsistencies.
