This division specializes in the production of popular Pasta and Macaroni brands, including Yab pasta, Mier pasta, and Yamrot Gold. Job Title and Position

Job Title: Production & Technic/Operation Manager

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer/General Manager/Management Consultant 

Department: Production and Technic Operations

 Main Responsibility:

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager/Management Consultant, plans, organizes, directs and controls all functions related to factory and technic operations, including production and dispatching of safe and quality flour, pasta and macaroni products, managing the overall factory and technic operations production, technical operations and occupational health and safety systems, ensures conformance with the appropriate standards, laws, policies; proposes measures to enhance good labor relations, management of personnel and other administrative matters.

 Responsibilities and Authorities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the factory Operation including quality control, production, technic, and general services;

  • Organizing, leading and controlling of efficient & effective utilization of resources to enable the organization to achieve its objective by producing safe & quality flour, pasta and macaroni products to satisfy customers;

  • Ensure the realization of safe & quality product by implementing, maintaining and updating the management control system in the quality control, flour, pasta and macaroni production;

  • Ensuring smooth and conducive working environment in the plant always by properly planning and monitoring the material and human resources flow during production;

  • Make sure that Good Hygienic Practices (GHP) & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are adhered to by the employees of the plant all the time;

  • Responsible to ensure that the product meets customer order/requirement of safety & quality;

  • Performing conflict handling tasks whenever the need arises among employees of the plant;

  • Conducting training need and system improvement need assessments and making arrangement for their implementations accordingly;

  • Work on efficiency, productivity, motivation and creativity issues to enable the Yamrot Food Complex to become more competent firm in the market;

  • Strictly follow the routines of production and technical activities in the plant focusing on quality & safety issues;

  • Communicating reports of the plant’s activities including production and technical activities periodically to the top management;

  • Synchronizing tasks and labor by investigating bottle necks & constraints of the processes 

  • Directs the preparation of the  production and technical financial plans, annual capital and operating budget;

  • Ensures that the company’s premises and properties are well protected at all times;

  • Ensures that the company’s facilities are properly maintained and utilized for their intended use;

  • Directs and controls of quality control, flour, pasta and macaroni production process owners, including recruitment, transfer, salary and benefits administration, work discipline, training, termination of services, performance appraisal, grievance handling and employee records management; ensures conformance with the provisions of the labor law, and directions from the management in the administration of employees;

  • Performs other related functions when assigned by the CEO/GM/Management Consultant;

Job Requirements

Education:  MSc/MBA/BSc in Engineering and Natural Science and related field with 12 years of experience for second degree /14 years for first degree of which 4 years in managerial positions

 Required Competence Level:

  • Extensive knowledge of national and international business management practices and procedures

  • Ability to coordinate and direct subordinates 

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Leadership skill, commitment and  readiness to take accountability

  • Follow up and monitoring skill

  • Ability to write reports 

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skill

  • Basic computer application skills.
