Under the supervision of the Admin and Finance Manager, the Messenger & Cleaner cleans  offices, premises, corridors, bathrooms using appropriate detergents and equipment; runs interoffice errands and delivers interoffice memos, messages, packages, materials and other similar items; provides overall office assistance; empties garbage cans and disposes of refuse, waste or litter; incinerates solid waste.  

• Gross Salary: 5,956.00 and Transport allowance 500

Specific Duties and Responsibilities  

• Cleans offices, premises, corridors, bathrooms using appropriate detergents and equipment;  

• Runs interoffice errands and delivers interoffice memos, messages, packages, materials and other similar items;  

• Provides overall office assistance;  

• Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors;  

• Cleans curtains, carpets and rugs with brush, beater or vacuum cleaner;  

• Polishes windows, doors, fixtures, fittings and other similar objects;  

• Dusts furniture and office equipment;  

• Empties garbage cans and disposes of refuse, waste or litter; incinerates solid waste;  

• Transmits oral messages to management and staff members;  

• Aerates or ventilates cleaned rooms and halls;  

• Ensures that all lights are off and windows closed after cleaning;  

• Follows up the statuses of messages communicated to work units and individuals;  

• Distributes office supplies to eligible staff;  

• Assists visitors/customers in answering simple inquiries, locating offices or staff members;  

• Inspects articles for spots or stains and removes same with appropriate cleaning agents;  

• Washes articles by using water, chemicals and other appropriate materials;  

• Checks sink toilet and water pipes and reports malfunctions for repair;  

• Performs other related duties and responsibilities of the job as assigned by the supervisor. 

Job Requirements

• TVET level I/ 10th Grade Complete
