Job Description

The Key Account Manager at Niyat Consultancy PLC is responsible for building and nurturing long-term, strategic relationships with high-value clients. This role ensures client satisfaction, retention, and account growth through a deep understanding of client needs, business development strategy, and consultative service delivery. The Key Account Manager acts as a trusted advisor, offering tailored solutions that align with the client's business objectives and Niyat Consultancy’s service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term, trusted relationships with key clients to ensure ongoing engagement and business growth.

  • Understand client goals, challenges, and industry trends to offer proactive, consultative solutions.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between key clients and internal teams, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.

  • Plan and implement account strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within key accounts.

  • Negotiate and finalize contracts, proposals, and service agreements with clients.

  • Resolve client issues and concerns quickly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels.

  • Track and report on account performance metrics such as revenue, retention, client satisfaction, and profitability.

  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients and present performance insights and value-added recommendations.

  • Stay current with market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments relevant to client industries.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (minimum 7 years of experience required).

  • Master’s degree in the above or related disciplines (minimum 5 years of experience required).

  • Professional Certification (optional but advantageous):

  • Certifications in Account Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or Sales Strategy.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience managing corporate or institutional clients, preferably in the consultancy, B2B services, or professional services sectors.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving client retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth goals.

  • Experience leading contract negotiations and developing account plans.

  • Experience coordinating with internal cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Strategic account planning and client relationship management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills.

  • High-level presentation and reporting skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex client challenges.

  • Commercial acumen and results orientation.
