Job Description

The role manages the end-to-end financial reporting for internal management and external stakeholders, including statutory auditors, shareholders, and other regulators. The incumbent is responsible for preparing accurate financial reports and, importantly, assisting in the preparation of presentations that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Management Reporting   

  • Responsible for the production of internal management reports(monthly and quartely profit & Loss and balance sheet report based on Dutch GAAP Accounting principles for Habesha & Swinkels Family Breweres senior management

  • Responsible for quartely IFRS vs Dutch Gap Account reconciliation including investigation of any variance and follow up engagement with relevant finance partners for correction.

  • Responsible for the annual Dutch gap reporting of all financial statement including engagement with external and groupd auditors and local regulators.

Working capital and cash flow management

  • Monitors the cash conversion cycle and working capital optimisation of the company through weekly/monthly tracking of actual performance against set benchmarks, identifying key devitiations and working with relevant finance business partners to drive improvement.

Performance Management

  • Manages the production of monthly brand profitability analysis report with variance analysis between current year vs previous year and current period vs budget. Also responsible for generating key insight from these report for management action by engaging with relevant finance business partners for root cause analysis of signficant variances and action plan recommendation to senior management for corrective action.

  • Monitors and coordinate the monthly corporate KPI reporting for executive management review. The incumbent is expected to liase with functional directors for timely input, review for accuracy and publish same in time for the monthly corporate KPI review with the CEO

Financial Accounting Oversight

  • E2E ownership for month end account closure activities ensuring MEC completion within agreed timeline of M+3. Highlighting significant process risk and gaps for finance director intervention and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with IFRS for all MEC related activities.

  • Ownership of General Ledger with responsibility for ensuring compliance of all accounting entries with international financial reporting standards (for statutory and tax GL) and internal SFB group accounting policies (for management layer GL)

  • Responsible for balance sheet hygiene and GL account risk analysis on accruals/provision and advance payment.

  • Design and implement financial controls structures to record and report on all transactions. 

Financial Control and Others

  • Responsible for balance sheet hygiene and GL account risk analysis on accruals/provision and advance payment

  • Responsible for Posting all accruals and prepayments on the system during month end and on correcting adjustments. 

  • Support with adhoc report preparation and analysis in relation to financial statement

  • Preperation of all internal management presentation related to financial statement ( eg. Financial performance deck for quartely employee engagement and shareholders engagement)

  • Subject matter expert and process owner for all accounting policy guidance and intepretation.

Budget preparation 

  • Respossible for annual budget preparation for support function (such as HR, Logistic & warehoue, legal, CEO, Finance), budget review and compilation.

  • responsible for monthly budget report review and OTIF submission. 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 4 – 6 years of progressive accounting/analysis experience, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP FI/CO; exposure to S/4HANA migration is an advantage.

  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with BI/reporting tools is preferred.

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is desirable if underway or completed.
